My grandmother was a Prunty and she was born in Wamego, Pottawatomie, Kansas. Her father was John Prunty and her mother was Susannah Schoner. John was born in Platt City, Missouri on 21 Dec 1849 and he died in Lawrence, Douglas, Kansas on 29 Jun 1926. John's father was Leonard Carroll Prunty who was born 8 Oct 1817 in Pruntytown, Harrison, Virginia and died on 23 Apr 1895 in California but is buried in Wamego, Kansas. John's mother was Sarah Polan who was born 3 Aug 1820 in Harrison County, Virginia and died in Jan 1880 in Wamego, Pottawatomie, Kansas.
Most of this information will soon be verified with records and pictures collected from the Wamego Cemetery. My daughter and her husband (and my granddaughter) visited Wamego recently and took lots of pictures at the cemetery and at the historical museum. They had a wonderful trip and spent hours looking around. I'm excited to pull this all together and share our information.

Anne Carroll (mother of Leonard Carroll Prunty) born 9 Sep 1772 possibly in Virginia.
John Prunty (father of David Prunty) born abt 1748 possibly in Ireland.
Barnabas Prunty (father of John Prunty) born abt 1718 in County Down, Ireland.
I have quite a bit of info on the Prunty family, Leonard Carroll was my 3rd great grandfather, would be nice to exchange info with you. Was your grandmother Bertha Arlueing Prunty, Olivia Blanche Prunty or Rebeka Ruth Prunty

Leonard Carroll Prunty is my 2nd great grandfather and my grandmother was Rebekah Ruth. Do you descend through one of the girls you mentioned or through Clifford, or are you a descendant of his second wife? I would love to exchange information.
